We left the DC office at 10 AM, headed to Newark, NJ for the 2008 Legends Classic. We got back to the office and dropped off our gear at 2:37 AM. Brutal traffic on the NJ Turnpike and rain/sleet on the drive back made this an “experience” to say the least. In the mean time, we produced some nice images of the two games…take a look here:

Tournament MVP Kyle Singler had 15 points and 8 rebounds to help #5 Duke (5-0) get past Michigan, 71-56, to win the championship of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. Singler collected 28 points and 11 rebounds in the two wins at Madison Square Garden after being named Durham Regional MVP.

The 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer tips off the college basketball season as 16 teams from 16 conferences compete at four sites across the country. Watch some of the nation’s top teams as they host the Opening Rounds of the tournament and play for the chance to advance to the Championship Rounds of the event in New York City.

Since 1996, the Gazelle Group, producers of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer, has raised more than $4 million to support the fight against cancer.

I can’t think of a game where we’ve had more brutal weather conditions…highs in the low 30’s and WIND!!! But that didn’t stop us from making some really great images from the 2008 CYO Parade of Champions…take a look here for a SNEAK PEAK at a few images from the games…

We’re back at the wold famous Madison Square Garden for a few days of stellar hoops action at the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. UCLA joins Duke, Southern Illinois and Michigan for the Championship Rounds at Madison Square Garden on November 20th and 21st.

ESPN will have complete coverage of the Championship Round doubleheaders from New York City, so look for Delane and Peter W. on TV…we’ll be on the baselines as usual.

We’ve entering our 7th season as the OFFICIAL Photographers for the Philadelphia KiXX and (unfortunately) it’s the last season at the Spectrum. But, that makes each and every image we shoot that much more special to us.

The Philadelphia KiXX defeated the Massachusetts Twisters by a score of 34-11 in the final home opener in Wachovia Spectrum history in front of 6,357 fans. The 34-point output was the highest in KiXX franchise history. Three KiXX players recorded hat tricks, including Cape May, NJ native Anthony Maher, captain Pat Morris, and newcomer Hewerton. Mayor Michael Nutter was on hand to participate in the ceremonial first kick.
